The Nuance 4 printing works has been developing two creeds for almost 20 years now:
ecology and quality.

In 2010, the Nuance 4 printing works is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Established in 1990 at a time when the Namur region did not boast a four-colour
printing works, the name chosen for the new company expressed
its intention to fill this gap!
In fact, the “4” refers to the four basic colours used in full- or four-colour printing.
It was a risky move, but one which paid off, since these days all printed matter
is full colour. Let’s take a look back…

1990
Yves Egon sets up a one-colour machine in the cellar of his home in Lustin.
He can do four-colour printing already, but in four stages…

1992
Purchase of the first two-colour machine.

1996
Purchase of a “Speed Master” two-colour machine that uses new, far more sophisticated technologies, produces very high quality and is considerably faster. This acquisition is a first in Belgium!

1997
Nuance 4 constructs a building in the Naninne industrial estate and installs the equipment from Lustin along with a new, very high production four-colour machine, the first of its type in the Namur region. That same year, the printing works becomes a limited company.

1999
Creation of the prepress department.

2001
Installation of a double-format, two-colour machine.

2003
Creation of a digital printing department in response to developments on the market.

2004
The volume of the building is doubled in order to install a new, double format, four-colour machine with all the new technologies providing assistance with operation, productivity and quality.

2008
A totally chemical-free CTP (computer-to-plate) production system comes into operation. In July that year, the company is granted "FSC” certification.
Now more than ever, Nuance 4 is worthy of the term "green printing works"!

2009
Installation of a second four-colour press.

Having started off alone, Yves Egon now has a workforce of ten. The exclusively B2B client base has grown steadily. The company has seen virtually linear progress and remains the leader in the Namur region, although its reputation stretches far beyond the borders of Belgium with numerous clients in France and Luxembourg, among others.
